It curbs its OPness by making you substitute lockpicking skills for explosive skills so it doesnt feel like your wasting skill points. I only played new vagas and using the project nevada mod that lets me dynomite my way into chests and locked doors is pretty satisfying. I agree with you on the firepower thing though. It kills me when i find a chest that requires 50 lock picking but i have 49 so i cant do it at all. Where its not impossible to lockpick a 100 skill lock with 1 lockpick skill, but it would be extreamly difficult. I hope chests/stuff that hacks have a RECOMMENDED skill limit rather than a REQUIRED. I hope they do keep minigames but refine it so that we can use actual human (our) skill. Oh and lets not debate on whether or not skills exist in this game since im using the word skills to convey my point. If its like that thats kinda boring isnt it? No sense of progression. Why? Whats wrong with minigames? How would a skill based lockpick/hack work? Would it just be a menu?Ħ0 Lockpick required> Uses 70 Lock pick> Chest opens.
